New years Resolution and Detox

The new year has just started and everyone is already talking about their New Year's resolution and "going on a detox"

What is so different on the first of January that you can not do or start every other day of the year?

And when you don't succeed, you are disappointed with yourself?

 

How about we stop with this, be nice to ourselves and start to accept ourselves for who we are?

 

Yes a detox is a very good idea, giving your liver and your digestive system a rest can be very important, BUT the problem is, most of the time we do go back eating rubbish, drink fizzy drinks with a lot of sugar and to much alcohol!

 

Maybe it would be a good idea to see that food is healing?

We abuse our body then we are surprised when we get ill!

The food you eat can help you to keep you healthy and fit for a long time.

 

Yes, I know it doesn't seem easy, and food especially the "wrong food" is often very tempting but I think , it is all about learning what food does for our health.

 

Sugar for example, we all know it is bad news but did you know it ends up straight into your liver? Your liver is already so busy trying eliminate all the xenobiotics it get confronted with every single day from all the chemicals in your food, the environment and all the chemicals you put on your skin, that it doesn't know what to do with all the sugar you consume so it dumps it as fatty acid into your blood stream where it leads to inflammation and hardening of the arteries, leading to coronary heart disease, heart attacks and strokes.

 

This is only one little example of what too much of something can do to you.

 

Yes, and then a detox can be a good idea to start you off and cleans your liver, but it should not be a new year's resolution for a few days or month!

 

Make it a change for life!

- What you eat,

-  Exercise

-  Mindset, because that is the biggest, most important factor.

 

Who do you think you are? Who do you want to be?

We make up all these stories about ourselves, of who we are and who we want to be and if we don't live up to our own expectations we are disappointed with ourselves and that's when we often start eating and don't care anymore what we put inside ourselves, because it doesn't matter anymore!

But do you know what?

All these stories about yourselves........ you make up yourself!

It is all happening in your head!

Everything, made up by you!

as I've said before, you decide who you want to be, only you!

You are the one who decides what you put inside you, only you!

 

So you have all these New Year's resolutions, want to be a new you and go on a detox, good for you!

 

But how about you make it not just a January solution, not make it any resolution,

but be nice to yourself, accept yourself for who you want to be and 

change one step after the other to a healthier lifestyle for years to come.
