Improve team morale, reduce workplace stress and boost creativity with workplace mentoring

Just like with any relationship, the connections we build in the workplace sometimes need a little extra support. Perhaps your team are undergoing a period of change and experiencing feelings of stress or frustration. Or it could be that you want to help people communicate better, feel more creative, or make decisions more effectively. Workplace mentoring is used by companies across the world to boost workforce performance and create a more effective and productive environment.

A total shift in mindset

Workplace mentoring really does lead to a total change in how employees see themselves and their working relationships. Mentoring is completely different to any previous workplace training or learning you may have experienced. There are no techniques to learn or practices to follow. Instead, your staff will develop a new understanding of themselves and one another. Because we are fundamentally changing how they see themselves and the world around them, the impacts of mentoring are long-lasting. After mentoring, people see their relationships differently and communicate with one another with a greater understanding and respect for differing perspectives and opinions. Once people have developed this understanding it is not something that can be lost or forgotten and your business can benefit from the shift in behaviours for many years to come.

Programme outline

Before we start...

I like to have half an hour with each participant ahead of the programme. This is a great introduction to mentoring and helps people to understand the programme and encourage them to take part.

  • Day 1 / Day 2 - group sessions

During this time we will discuss any challenges that staff are facing and the outcomes that you would like for the programme. We will then tailor the facilitation to address your specific business and personnel needs.

  • Day 3 - one-to-one sessions

I'll meet for an hour with each member of your team. This will give us the chance for more in-depth work; to answer questions and to further develop their understanding from the group sessions.

  • Day 4 - group session

We'll start by feeding back on the previous few days and setting goals for the session. In the afternoon there is the option of observing and advising on group business meetings.

My approach to workplace mentoring

I've developed this workplace mentoring programme based on my 30 years of experience in wellbeing and mentoring. Through the course of the programme, staff will begin to understand how their minds work and how moment to moment experiences are created. I'll support them to reach a new understanding of themselves and their colleagues and to see how they can work together more effectively.

Take the next step to improve your workplace environment now

Workplaces of all sizes can benefit from mentoring. By gaining a better understanding of themselves, and each other, staff will learn to work better with one another, communicate more effectively and make better decisions.
